Good Morning Smith School Parents/Guardians,
Hope everyone has had a great start to the new academic year! It definitely has been and adjustment, but a good one, getting back to full time in person learning. We have a lot of updates and information to share in this newsletter, so please read in its entirety.
Our first PAC Meeting was held on Wednesday, September 22nd @7pm in the STEAM Room at Smith School. We had a great turnout and want to thank all that were able to attend. Our next PAC Meeting will be on Wednesday, October 27th at 7pm in the STEAM Room at Smith School! All are welcome!
The PAC is looking for an Enrichment Program Liason for this academic year. If you are interested in helping out, please contact us at smithschoolpac@gmail.com
Our Smith School Apparel Store has closed. We will be in contact with all families that placed orders once we have received all items. We are hoping items will be delivered to the school this week! We appreciate everyones' patience during this time.
We also understand that many families would still like to order the basic Smitty t-shirt and/or sweatshirt. We are working quickly to get up another virtual store and have these items available for purchase. Stay tuned!
FALL FUNDRAISER ALERT!
We are excited to announce that we will be having our Fall Walk-A-Thon Fundraiser on Thursday, November 4th (rain date of November 5th)! Our fundraising goal is going to be $20,000! We will have some great incentive prizes for the students and for the top fundraising classroom! We will be sending out all the information on Friday, October 8th - so watch your email inbox!
SCHOOL STORE OPENING SOON!
Our FIRST School Store Opening of this year will be on Thursday, October 21st for K-2nd graders and Friday, October 22nd for 3rd-5th graders! The store will be open prior to the start of school. Please have your students bring no more than $5 to spend at the store as this will help move the students along with purchasing items. Thank you to Cheryl Pepper for leading the charge on the school store! We will be looking for volunteers to help from about 7:30am - 8:15am. We will be sending out a sign up schedule soon!
DINE-IN/OUT NIGHTS!
Dine-In/Out Nights are currently being scheduled, thanks to Courtney Cormier! We will be having our first dine-in/out night this month - stay tuned for details to help support the Smith School PAC!
STOP & SHOP REWARDS!
Smith School will once again be involved with the Stop & Shop Rewards Program! If you shop at Stop & Show, at the bottom of the receipt there is information on how to register your receipt to Smith Elementary School! A portion of what you spend grocery shopping will be then donated to Smith School!
